Gas Station TV to Expand Nationally

GE's Wayne will invest $50M to deploy inOvationTV, a new co-developed media platform, at gas stations nationwide.

BIRMINGHAM, Mich. -- Gas Station TV (GSTV), the nation's largest away-from-home television network at fuel pumps, has formed an exclusive, long-term agreement with Wayne, a General Electric business and global innovator of fuel dispensers and technologies. Wayne will make a substantial investment in GSTV in order to deploy inOvationTV, the companies' new co-developed media platform, at gas stations nationwide.

"Wayne has long been a leader in technology at the pump and has an extremely strong distribution network, making them the best partner to grow our television network to the next level," said GSTV CEO David Leider. "The new stations installed from this relationship will quickly increase our already industry-leading viewership and market penetration to more than 70 million monthly at-the-pump consumers, placing us at the very top of Nielsen's weekly television rankings."

The new platform will broadcast GSTV's exclusive content experience. Programming includes ESPN, business and personal finance news from Bloomberg TV, local weather from AccuWeather and GSTV's original social media television show, "Your Neighborhood."

inOvationTV is available free of charge to qualified gas stations and can be installed either as a retrofit to stations that have already installed Wayne's Ovation dispensers, or as a new installation. Retailers who install inOvationTV will also receive benefits such as an upgraded payment processing experience via Wayne's iX Technology Platform, retail-driven promotional announcements produced by GSTV, and six years of maintenance and technical support. "Our relationship with GSTV represents another step forward in our global strategy to provide fuel retailers worldwide with leading-edge products and technologies that allow them to provide an enhanced experience to their customers," said Neil Thomas, global president of Wayne. "GSTV clearly has emerged as a leading provider of media at the pump in the U.S. Along with Wayne's strength as a world-leading supplier of fueling systems, we will be able to serve more fuel retailers in more locations with an exciting new offering."

GSTV and Wayne will exhibit inOvationTV next month at Wayne's booth during the NACS Show in Chicago.
