FSCI Association Names 2005 Manufacturer of the Year

Hobart, a food equipment and service provider, is the 2005 Manufacturer of the Year named by the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) Association.

"To be selected by this organization as the Manufacturer of the Year is a great honor for our company," said Richard Hynes of Hobart Consultant Services Group. "This award means a great deal to our engineering, marketing and selling teams. It tells us that FCSI believes we are developing the right products for their clients' needs and providing the services that they and their clients require. This award is re-affirmation of our efforts and we look forward to trying to earn it again in the future."

The Troy, Ohio-based company offers products for refrigeration; warewashing and waste handling; food preparation; baking; cooking and weighing; and wrapping and labeling.

Hobart recently developed the Opti-Rinse System for its C-Line and FT900 warewashers. The exclusive nozzle technology cuts water and energy consumption by up to 57 percent when compared to previous conventional brass or stainless steel nozzles.

Hobart also recently introduced the new AM Select door-type warewasher, the first standard-size machine to be NSF International-certified for heavily soiled pots and pans, which can now be washed automatically instead of being scrubbed by hand.

The company also expanded its Legacy line of mixers in 2005 to include a 12- and 20- quart model. The new Legacy features several major improvements for labor productivity and ergonomics as well as helping to ensure sanitation.

FCSI announced the award at its annual conference in Anaheim, California.
