Fresh & Easy Looking to Fill 600 Positions for New Stores

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market expects to hire 600-plus employees for more than 20 new stores that are set to open early next year, as well as stores in California and Nevada that are opening over the next several weeks.

The retailer, which operates its traditional Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market concept and now a new Fresh & Easy Express model, is recruiting on Twitter at www.twitter.com/fandecareers and is currently accepting applications on its website at www.freshandeasy.com/joinus.

The open positions are for new stores in the following cities: Antioch, Brentwood, Burbank, Chula Vista, Costa Mesa, Elk Grove, Folsom, Granada Hills, Hermosa Beach, Laguna Niguel, Las Vegas, Lincoln, Los Alamitos, Los Angeles, Mountain View, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Santee and Torrance.

"Since 2007, we have opened 184 stores and have created more than 5,000 jobs with comprehensive benefits in the neighborhoods we serve," said Tim Mason, Fresh & Easy's CEO. "We are continuing our growth and will provide even more jobs for our communities."

Entry-level positions at Fresh & Easy start at $10 an hour in California and include quarterly bonuses of up to 10 percent, a 401(k) with company match, a generous paid time off (PTO) program, and life skills training. Last year, more than 200 store employees were promoted to management positions.

Fresh & Easy currently operates 184 stores in California, Arizona and Nevada.
