EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- According to the calendar, summer does not start for another month, but Fresh & Easy is getting ready for the unofficial kick-off with an expanded ready-to-grill menu.
The 170-store chain now offers 26 pre-marinated, ready-to-grill items, including beef, pork, chicken and vegetarian options. The expansion comes as Fresh & Easy teams up again with grill expert Neil Strawder, a.k.a. Bigmista. The fresh&easy Grill Pack, which was the company's number one selling grilling item last summer, will be served along with barbeque-ready sides, all free of charge. Individual events will be locally promoted throughout the summer. The Grill Pack includes six to eight chili citrus cilantro chicken thighs and drumsticks, four mild Italian pork sausages and four quarter-pound beef patties.
This summer's new additions include Adobo Beef Steaks, Ginger & Garlic Petite Sirloin, Pollo Asado, Southwestern Style Pork Tenderloin, Stuffed Red Bell Peppers and Tequila & Orange Chicken. As with all fresh&easy-brand products, the grilling range contains no artificial colors, flavors, high-fructose corn syrup or added trans fats and uses preservatives only when absolutely necessary, according to the company.
"As we move into summer, more people are coming together for barbecues, graduations, and picnics and everyone wants to find great deals on quality meats and veggies they can easily throw on the grill," said Bill Arnold, Fresh & Easy's meat expert. "We're expanding our grilling range to offer our customers even more choice meat options marinated with new and unique flavors, along with some great vegetarian options and sides."
