Fas Mart, Shore Stop Join Forces with Valero

RICHMOND, Va. -- GPM Investments LLC, operator of Fas Mart and Shore Stop c-store chains, has teamed up with petroleum company Valero for its "Fill Up to Fight Hunger" effort.

For each eight-gallon fuel purchase made at a Fas Mart or Shore Stop Valero outlet, Valero will donate $1 to an area food bank. The program, run in conjunction with Feeding America, a network of 200 food banks, hopes to raise $3 million when the charitable effort concludes at the end of June.

"We are very excited about the opportunity to tie into this great program that provides much needed support throughout all the markets and communities we serve," David Eisenberg, chief executive officer of GPM Investments, said. "This is a great way for our customers to feel good about their fuel purchase at any of our locations by knowing they are doing something good for others in their community every time they fill-up."
