MECHANICSVILLE, Va. -- Fas Mart Convenience Stores, a mid-Atlantic chain of more than 180 stores, selected Reston, Va.-based Transaction Network Services Inc.'s (TNS) Point-of-Service (POS) division to provide cohesive network transaction solutions for approximately 125 of its stores.
Fas Mart has contracted with FusionPoint by TNS to provide network connectivity and data communications services for credit card and ATM authorizations; fuel tank monitoring systems; Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) capabilities; and back-office connectivity. FusionPoint by TNS is a data-communications solution that enables all technical applications in convenience stores to flow through one broadband pipe, simplifying the connectivity and delivering significant savings in time and maintenance costs.
"No other connectivity provider is able to offer our stores the type of support we require other than FusionPoint by TNS," said Barry Khrosophanah, director of information technology for Fas Mart.
