    ExxonMobil Partners with NASCAR

Oil company named "Official Lubricants of NASCAR" beginning in 2003.

LAS VEGAS -- The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) named ExxonMobil's Mobil brand of products as the "Official Lubricants of NASCAR" beginning in 2003.

An industry leader in the development of lubricants, including synthetics, the Mobil family of automotive lubricants includes motor oil, transmission fluid, gear lubricants and greases, and will join a list of performance products endorsed by NASCAR.

"NASCAR continues to grow and to gain fans who value automotive performance and the measures that must be taken to achieve NASCAR victories," said Jim Marcogliese, executive vice president of ExxonMobil Lubricants & Specialties Co. "Race fans know that with Mobil products -- NASCAR's official lubricants -- they realize some of the same performance benefits as the world's top racing teams."

A long-time supporter of NASCAR racing, this marks Mobil 1's 12th season as a major sponsor of Penske Racing South with veteran driver Rusty Wallace and rookie Ryan Newman.
