ExxonMobil Introduces Smart Card Promo

FAIRFAX, Va. -- Exxon and Mobil retailers, along with Citi Retail Services, are giving new Smart Card cardholders more ways to "Get Smart and Save" this summer.

New ExxonMobil Smart Card cardholders who apply by Sept. 30 will get a limited time offer of 18-cents-per-gallon rebates on qualifying purchases for their first two billing cycles. Cardholders will then see 6-cents-per-gallon rebates on qualifying purchases each cycle thereafter.

Cardholders will automatically receive the rebates as a credit on their billing statement if they buy at least 45 gallons of Exxon- or Mobil-branded fuel during that billing cycle, according to ExxonMobil Corp.

"This promotion is a great opportunity to remind our customers that the ExxonMobil Smart Card is the smart way to pay for their fuel purchases," said John Rhodes, Americas retail sales director for ExxonMobil. "The Smart Card already offers a strong, ongoing 6-cents-per-gallon value with pay-at-the-pump convenience at nearly 10,000 Exxon and Mobil stations, [zero] fraud liability and the ability to link to a free Speedpass device. And new cardholders who apply by Sept. 30, 2013 will have the added incentive of triple introductory rebates."

All ExxonMobil Smart Cards feature zero liability on unauthorized charges; free online account access 24 hours a day, seven days a week; pay-at-the-pump convenience; free Speedpass; flexible payment terms; and ATM cash access, according to Citi Retail Services.
