Epson, supplier of value-added point-of-sale (POS) solutions, wrapped up its TM-T70 thermal receipt printer, featuring an all-front-access single-station printer. The TM-T70 printer is designed to fit under counters and in tight spaces in specialty retail, convenience store and foodservice applications, the company stated. It features front-facing controls, front paper loading and front receipt dispensing, without the need for clearance for top or side-openings, according to Epson. The 4.49-inch high printer is equipped with a near-end paper detector, paper out, power and error LEDs, an autocutter and optional annunciator. It prints receipts and graphics at a speed of 170 millimeters per second at 180 dpi resolution, and also supports 2D barcodes, Epson stated. With a two-year warranty, the printer also boasts a variety of Connect-It interface options, including USB, serial, parallel, Ethernet and wireless.
The TM-T70 is the first of three new Epson thermal products to be released in the near future, with availability beginning in December, the company stated.
