East Meets West: Crenshaw Shell Station Welcomes Zero's Subs

LOS ANGELES -- A convenience store located in the Crenshaw section of Los Angeles is now home to a non-traditional quick-serve restaurant, Zero's Subs.

Known as the home to the original oven-baked sandwich, Zero's Subs has been a popular brand on the east coast, however, this marks the opening of the first west coast location.

"Zero's Subs is rapidly expanding throughout California, Arizona and Florida," Elizabeth Fitzpatrick, director of AHC/Zero's Subs, said in a released statement. "We're very fortunate to partner with such great franchisees who drive our company's growth and success."

Fitzpatrick was referring to Moncef Abbou, Mehdi Marzouk and Nicole Duncan of MAD Food, Inc. who own and operate the store. This is their first Zero's Subs restaurant; however, they have plans to open a second.

The Grand Opening will be held on Friday, May 9th, complete with food giveaways and prizes. Fitzpatrick noted that Zero's Subs also has a new location located in Modesto, Calif., and the company plans to develop four additional stores in California and Arizona are already underway.
