Eagle Foodservice now offers a flexible countertop grill unit that allows either customers or sales associates to serve a variety of hot dogs and sausages. The grill heats quickly -- cooking hot dogs in less than four minutes -- and has a rapid recovery time. Its isolated front- and rear-adjustable temperature controls can be turned down to NSF-safe holding temperatures for serving. The grills, in flat or slanted models, are available in 18-inch, 24-inch and 35-inch lengths, containing up to 18 rollers. Stores can grill 300 to 750 hot dogs per hour with a pre-heated unit, depending on the model size selected, the company said. Rollers contain Teflon grease seals on each end to prevent grease from entering the housing, and a full-width aluminum catch pan collects drippings for cleaning. Accessories such as bun warmers, sneeze guards and tongs, are also available.
