Dunkin' Turns to Nevada, Kansas and Texas for Expansion

CANTON, Mass. -- Dunkin' Brands Inc. has begun a massive franchisee recruiting effort in the states of Nevada, Kansas and Texas.

According to DBR, its Dunkin' Donuts division is currently focusing on the Reno, Nev., and Topeka, and Wichita, Kan., markets; as well as several areas of Texas, including Amarillo and Corpus Christi.

As CSNews Online reported on multiple occasions, the recruiting effort is part of Dunkin' Brands' goal to double its U.S. store count from 7,000 to 14,000 franchise locations in the next 20 years.

In Texas alone, agreements have already been signed to open more than 100 locations in cities such as Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Houston, which are expected to open in 2014, reported DBR.

"We are looking for qualified candidates with foodservice, operations and real estate experience," Grant Benson, Dunkin' Brands' franchising and development vice president, told the news outlet.

Earlier this year, Dunkin' Donuts orchestrated similar recruiting pitches in West Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina and Tennessee.

Each new Dunkin' Donuts franchise is expected to hire an average of 20 to 25 full- and part-time employees, a company spokesperson stated earlier this year.
