Dresser Wayne Shows Green Fueling Advancements at 2009 NACS Show

AUSTIN, Texas -- Dresser Wayne is featuring advancements in biofuels, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and compressed natural gas (CNG) at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) 2009 Show in Las Vegas this week.

"Retailers, fleet managers, shippers, regulators and consumers are all calling for environmentally friendly fuels generated from domestic sources," said Scott Negley, director of alternative energy products at Dresser Wayne. "Dresser Wayne products can support these efforts, including special hydraulics for bio-fuels, dispensers for diesel emissions-controlling agents, and equipment and services for compressed natural gas."

Three technologies are on display at the Dresser Wayne booth (#4467) to help the industry take advantage of green fueling advancements:

Bio-fuels
The Dresser Wayne Eco-fuel blender series is the latest innovation in hydraulic technology, allowing retailers to pump blended products from two hoses at the same fueling point. This enables separation of low- and high-blend ethanol or bio-diesel, and allows retailers to offer a range of options based on their customers' vehicle compatibility. The Eco-fuel blender series uses materials meant for the harsher fuel environment and is currently in use in select U.S. markets.

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
Added to a diesel island, the Dresser Wayne Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Dispenser offers the convenience of filling vehicle DEF and diesel tanks at the same place, the company reported. DEF technology helps diesel users meet 2010 EPA emission standards for new diesel vehicles, and the Dresser Wayne DEF dispenser's innovative hose-handling design keeps the DEF in the hose and nozzle from freezing while providing user-friendly operation, according to the company. Additionally, special internal dispenser components help protect the quality of the DEF.

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)
Dresser Wayne's CNG dispensers and CUBOGAS compressors leverage Dresser Wayne's expertise in high-pressure applications. The dispensers support fast or slow-filling needs with a familiar high-hose package that supports temperature-compensated fill-ups and offers control of up to three pressure lines.
