Dresser Inc. Acquires iMeter B.V. Assets
HOUSTON -- Dresser Inc., a leader in providing highly engineered infrastructure products for the global energy markets, completed the acquisition of assets from iMeter B.V., a global supplier of natural gas metering equipment.
"The acquisition of assets of iMeter B.V. is consistent with our strategy to seek out opportunities in the energy infrastructure segment which expand our geographic, product and technology portfolio. Selectively expanding our capabilities allows us to continue to solve our customers most critical process needs," said Scott Coleman, vice president of corporate development at Dresser.
Assets of iMeter B.V., based in Varsseveld, Netherlands, will be incorporated into Dresser’s Houston-based Meters & Instruments business, which also has locations throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
"The iMeter assets add a new level of innovation and product development to our business," said David Evans, vice president of Dresser Meters & Instruments. "The iMeter product line-up complements the existing Meters & Instruments product portfolio and includes turbine meters, which is a new offering for us and allows us to provide additional options for our customers."
