Davidson Oil Gets the Point

Davidson Oil Co., operator of five convenience stores in the Southwest, partnered with Louisville, Ky.-based TelaPoint Inc., an Internet supply chain software provider, to enhance the delivery of petroleum supply management services.

Under a multiyear agreement with TelaPoint, Davidson will use a co-branded version of
TelaFuel, a browser-based application suite, to improve management of fuel replenishment services for its company-owned convenience stores and jobber network.

With TelaFuel, Davidson Oil will electronically collect and process real-time fuel replenishment information from client retail sites to better control petroleum inventories and coordinate supply logistics, resulting in lower costs, greater operational efficiency and enhanced value for clients.

"Our decision to implement TelaFuel at Davidson Oil is aligned with our business strategy to extend the reach of our fuel supply management expertise to customers across our expanding markets," said Joe Davidson, president and CEO of Davidson Oil. "TelaPoint's Internet supply chain technology will enable us to offer Davidson's clients with self-service access to real-time fuel replenishment information via our corporate Web site."
