    Dari Mart Chooses NCR's RealPOS

Oregon-based c-store chain will deploy hardware in all 43 stores.

ATLANTA -- Dari Mart Stores Inc., a family-owned convenience store chain located in Oregon's Willamette Valley, ordered NCR RealPOS 70 point-of-sale (POS) terminals for all of its stores.

"The more you work with and learn about the NCR RealPOS 70, the more you realize this terminal was built by people who understand our tough working conditions in the convenience store environment," said Kurt J. Staube, operations manager at Dari Mart.

After comparing it with other POS terminals, Straube said Dari Mart selected the NCR RealPOS 70 because "NCR has truly gone the extra mile to address components that are more prone to failure, such as the CPU fan, by adding a separate backup system as a standard feature. We also were impressed with the overall flexibility of the terminal, starting with its plug-and-play hardware design to the true open architecture software environment."
