A New Spot for Greenies

March 31, 2008 - DALLAS -- Recently opened just east of White Rock Lake, GreenSpot Market & Fuels held its grand opening Saturday, according to a company announcement. The location features unleaded and biodiesel fuels, as well as a healthy convenience store, the company stated.

"As the only retailer in Dallas with Biodiesel, we are promoting this alternative fuel manufactured from renewable natural resources," GreenSpot principal Bruce Bagelman, said in a statement. "The use of Biodiesel -- made from soybean, canola and vegetable-based oils -- can reduce our dependence on foreign oil and reduce vehicle emissions."

The GreenSpot station has B5 Biodiesel available at the pumps and B99 available in 5-gallon CARB-approved gas cans inside the store, the company stated.

One local business, Bulldog Mobile Billboards, has become a regular GreenSpot customer. "We were happy to discover this service just a few miles from our headquarters," Rod Collins, founder and president of the mobile advertising company, said in a statement. "To be able to fuel up with Biodiesel fuel and shop for a healthy breakfast, lunch or snack at the same time is a bonus."
