DURHAM, N.C. -- Convenience USA reached a deal with Louisville, Ky.-based TelaPoint Inc. to install the TelaFuel Internet software solution to streamline and manage the company's fuel replenishment process.
Convenience USA will use TelaFuel, a browser-based application suite, to improve management of fuel replenishment operations across its network of 170 convenience stores in the southeastern United States. With TelaFuel, Convenience USA will electronically process fuel replenishment transactions with preferred fuel carriers to better manage petroleum inventories and supply logistics, resulting in lower costs, greater administrative efficiency and enhanced relationships with transportation suppliers.
"Our decision to implement TelaPoint's Internet supply-chain solution supports our business strategy to improve operational controls and reduce administrative costs across our petroleum operation," said Troy Seymour, vice president of petroleum operations and strategic planning and development for Convenience USA. "TelaFuel will help us reduce fuel inventory costs and improve the coordination of petroleum supply transactions with our transportation partners."
Convenience USA stores include Holiday Market, Kwik Shop, Nugget Store and Sun Mart in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.
