CN Brown Selects KSS PriceNet for Big Apple Chain

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- CN Brown of Maine chose KSS' PriceNet to automate and optimize fuel price management operations at the convenience store retailer's 87 Big Apple Food Store locations across the New England area, the company reported.

In addition to automating their pricing practices, CN Brown is drawing on PriceNet to improve its responsiveness to the competitor landscape.

"PriceNet helps us react more rapidly to local market and competitor events and ensures we can continue to provide legendary service and quality products at a great price to our customers," Chick Wilkins, general manager at CN Brown, said in a released statement.

PriceNet is KSS' pricing solution that supports key tasks and stakeholders involved in retail fuels pricing -- from capturing field-based intelligence at the site level to the generation of price proposals via comprehensive pricing rules or price optimization, to consistent and timely implementation. High levels of automation and an 'exception-based' approach ensure a rapid response to competitors and market conditions, thus allowing pricing analysts to leverage the power of pricing analytics.

"PriceNet will enable CN Brown to rapidly respond to current market conditions by improving their business processes and efficiencies," said Bob Stein, president and chief executive officer of KSS. "Automated fuel price management can be a catalyst for competitive differentiation and margin/volume growth."
