NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Clark Brands LLC announced it has added Richmond, Mich.-based Foster Blue Water Oil LLC as a branded marketer, continuing the growth of the Clark brand in southeast Michigan.
"Foster Blue Water is a highly respected operator in Michigan," said Clark Brands President and CEO Karl Goodhouse. "We're proud to have Foster Blue Water as a Clark licensee. Our partnership with them will add to Clark's resurgence in the Detroit market."
Clark will provide customized branding and marketing programs as Foster stores convert to the Clark brand, according to the announcement.
"We see Clark as a vital part of our growth in our Michigan markets," said Tom McCartney, sales manager for Foster Blue Water. "With Clark we're able to offer an alternative to major oil brands -- something our dealers have been asking for. Clark provides an outstanding image and street presence while letting our dealers purchase fuel at the lowest price."
Foster Blue water Oil was founded in 2003 following the merger of Foster Oil Co. and Blue Water Oil Co. It owns and operates 30 retail stores as well as several offices and bulk plants in Michigan that serve the propane industry, home heating oil, various grades of gasoline, diesel fuels, lubricants, independent station owners, marinas, and construction contractors, according to the announcement.
Clark licenses the Clark gasoline brand and the Four Corners Coffee brand to independent petroleum marketers and retailers. Clark also processes credit card and payments transactions for independent fuel stations in 28 states and the District of Columbia.
