CITGO Hitting the Road Again to Fuel Good

HOUSTON -- CITGO Petroleum Corp. will once again travel across the United States on its Fueling Good Road Trip, which celebrates people doing good in their local communities. The 2014 journey will kick off March 25 in Atlanta.

Fueling Good ambassadors Adam and Diego will travel the highways and backroads of 27 states and Washington, D.C., where CITGO and its network of locally owned stations operate, on a mission to identify and reward good in all its forms. The Fueling Good Road Trip will use online videos and social media posts to recognize individuals, unsung volunteers and local businesspeople who are driven to make their communities better places to live.

"Each one of our nearly 6,000 CITGO retail locations is locally owned and an important part of its community," stated Jennifer Moos, CITGO's general manager of brand development. "Whether investing resources or rolling up our sleeves and volunteering, CITGO gives back to our communities in a variety of ways. The Fueling Good Road Trip gives us a unique opportunity to find and recognize local people who are aligned with CITGO values, such as investing in people and thereby improving lives in their communities."

In 2013, the Fueling Good Road Trip visited dozens of communities in 12 states and posted nearly 50 video profiles of positive differences made by individuals and organizations.
