Circle K Launches Coupon Kiosk

PHOENIX, Ariz. --Thirty-five Circle K stores in the Phoenix metropolitan market have introduced e-kiosks that offer coupons on in-store products, as well as other applications, including web-browsing and e-mail.The chain, which was acquired earlier this year by Bartlesville, Okla.-based Phillips Petroleum Co., is partnering with kiosk technology business Info Technologies Corp., and ClipACoupon.com, a provider of coupons and promotion applications.The retail chain plans to expand the e-kiosk program to 650 Circle K stores next year. "This joint venture is a perfect illustration of how Info Touch partners with innovative companies and enables meaningful benefits right at the store level," said Hamed Shahbazi, Info Touch's chairman and CEO. "Kiosk-based couponing technology is not only rewarding for the customers, but also a business driver for the retail establishment."Dave Hutchings, vice president of business development at ClipACoupon, hailed the partnership between his company and Info Touch that will expand kiosk applications. He said the alliance will "will provide merchants and vendors with an excellent promotional and revenue channel. We are also very excited about the short and long term potential this partnership offers both companies."
