RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- Southern California Circle K company-operated stores completed the deployment of the Navitouch Interactive Broadcast Network, a division of WMD Holdings Group Inc.
Navitouch uses Interactive Digital Display (IDD) technology to create powerful digital images displayed on touchscreen monitors that enable consumer interaction, utilizing Verizon Wireless's EVDO Broadband services.
Advertising and services on the Navitouch system provide advertisers and content providers opportunities for direct, immediate interaction with the public and quantified feedback reporting via the Navitouch network. Consumer feedback informs advertisers immediately of the success of their advertising campaigns. Navitouch technology also facilitates e-commerce on the IDD units.
The network in Circle K stores has already provided shoppers with free products and services including free rounds of golf from car dealerships, free hammocks, free CDs and $25 casino slot play to players whose age was verified by the driver's license swipe functionality of Navitouch.
Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., the fourth largest convenience store operator in North America, acquired Circle K Stores, Inc. in 2003. The company currently operates a network of over 4,900 convenience stores and 4,000 licensees worldwide.
