CHS Foundation Donates $5,000 for Disaster Relief

GREENSBURG, Kan. -- The CHS Foundation, the major giving entity of grain and energy company CHS Inc., presented a $5,000 contribution to the Kansas Cooperative Council for disaster relief here.

"CHS has a longstanding history in the Greensburg area through our business relationship with Southern Plains Cooperative, which markets our Cenex brand energy products," Mark Fenner, southern sales director for CHS Energy, said in a written statement. "Many were impacted by the tornado damage. This is just a small part in helping rebuild their communities."

The Kansas Cooperative Council is coordinating the disaster relief fund, which will help rebuild the Greensburg, Kan., area, which was hit by an F5 tornado in early May.

Rocky Bell, CHS energy sales manager; Steve Riegle, CHS director, and Steve Eck, CHS business services manager, presented the funds to Steve Magette, Kansas Cooperative Council director, and Ron Gruber, Southern Plains Cooperative general manager.
