CHS Brings on Digital Strategy Leader

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. -- In an effort to improve its digital presence, CHS Inc. hired Tamara "Tammie" Freund Kass as digital strategy leader to expand its full range of digital media and strengthen connections with its key stakeholders.

Kass joins CHS from Omaha, Neb.-based DTN/The Progressive Farmer, where she held the position of vice president, content strategy and international agriculture. Kass has more than 15 years of experience in agriculture communications, including information service products, editorial, and media business management. She also has experience in creating and executing growth strategies, business development and working internationally.

The Iowa native serves on the board of directors for the Agriculture Council of America as the organization's secretary/treasurer. She holds undergraduate degrees in journalism and agricultural studies from Iowa State University and has a master's degree in international agriculture development from Texas A&M University.

Inver Grove Heights, Minn.-based CHS Inc. is owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives across the United States. The company supplies energy, crop nutrients, grain marketing services, animal feed, food and food ingredients, as well as business solutions including insurance, financial and risk management services. CHS also operates petroleum refineries and pipelines, and manufactures, markets and distributes the Cenex fuel brand.
