Christy's C-stores Focus on Next Generation

HYANNIS, Mass. -- Days after selling 11 of his 13 convenience stores to New York-based Hess Corp., Christy Mihos, owner of Chrsity's of cape Cod, revealed he will move forward with the development of "new generation" c-stores, Wickedlocal.com reported.

Mihos told the Web site he will open a store and gas station in an existing building in Dennis by May 1, while pursuing approval of a new project on the same site.

The proposed Dennis store will be part of what Mihos called a "new generation" of Christy’s stores, each of which will be different, responding to different clienteles’ needs in distinctly different towns, he said. All three will sell Hess gas, according to the report.

Mihos added the sale to Hess will allow him to devote more time to the new stores.
