AUSTIN, Texas -- ChevronTexaco Corp., operator of 2,800 convenience stores, reached an agreement with Dresser Wayne to be the oil company's preferred global supplier for retail marketing dispensers.
The agreement includes the supply of a range of pumps, dispensers and associated products and services across ChevronTexaco's global retail network, which encompasses the Chevron brand in North America; the Texaco brand in Europe, West Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean; and the Caltex brand in Asia.
"I am pleased with this agreement," said Nigel Jones, ChevronTexaco's commodity manager for service station construction. "This is a key to our strategy of standardizing dispensing equipment globally in order to bring economies of scale and provide a consistent operational solution for our business units."
Dresser Wayne said it is committed to providing equipment and services of the highest quality, latest technology and the lowest cost of ownership to ChevronTexaco.
"We have made significant strides in structuring our company and products to meet the growing needs of a globalized economy," said Bill Reichhold, Director of Global Account Development at Dresser Wayne. "This agreement is an example of how those efforts have paid off. We are able to offer products with the same technology, quality, and reliability worldwide no matter where we manufacture our product."
