Chevron Taking Applications for Community Awards

SAN RAMON, Calif. -- Chevron is now accepting applications for the Community SPIRIT awards grant, which is intended for nonprofit organizations that improve the community, according to a report on KGET.com.

The award amount ranges from $2,500 and $10,000, and applications are available online, the report stated.

Basic human needs, education and training, and small business development are cornerstones of Chevron's Community SPIRIT Awards, and these themes will be awarded the majority of the funds available, said KGET.com.

In addition, quality of life programs that focus on civic and community, arts and culture, and the environment will be considered for the awards.
