TEMPLE, Texas -- As of Sept. 7, Chevron convenience stores and potential franchise locations in the United States and commission agents in Canada will be served by McLane Company Inc., the largest U.S. convenience store distributor, and Wallace & Carey Inc., an independent Canadian distributor.
Under the agreements, which extend into 2008 with the option to continue, 450 Chevron stations in the United States will receive McLane grocery products, while Wallace & Carey will distribute to 152 locations in Canada.
"McLane is excited to be able to continue making a contribution to Chevron's financial success. Through technology, operational excellence and cost reducing processes, McLane will provide Chevron with outstanding distribution service," said Peter Leavitt, vice president of sales for McLane.
