    Casey's Sponsors USMTS Racing

    The chain will become the primary sponsor of five top-level competitors for 10 select events.

    ANKENY, Iowa -- Casey's General Stores, operator of more than 1,450 convenience stores in nine Midwestern states, finalized a marketing partnership with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), where the convenience chain will be the title sponsor of The Hunt for the O'Reilly USMTS National Championship series and four O'Reilly USMTS National Tour events.

    In addition, Casey's will be named the official convenience store of the USMTS, supported by marketing campaigns to drive incremental sales at Casey's retail locations.

    "We are both excited and honored today to announce this deal with Casey's General Stores," USMTS president Todd Staley said in a statement. "We have been fortunate to work with the great people at Casey's over the last couple of years, and we're looking forward to getting to work on executing the plan we've put in place."

    The Hunt for the O'Reilly USMTS National Championship is made up of the final 14 to 18 races, similar to a playoff of the season, which determine the 2008 O'Reilly USMTS National Champion.

    "Casey's General Stores is proud to be associated with the USMTS," Mike Richardson, vice president of marketing for Casey's, said in a statement. "The partnership fits very well within our marketing objectives. Many of the USMTS stops are located within our nine state marketing area."

    As part of the program, Casey’s and its vendors will display on-site marketing and have opportunities for product placement through promotions or integrating USMTS events into existing promotions, according to Jeff Nun, USMTS communications and marketing director.
    In addition, the agreement will also call for Casey's to be the primary sponsor for five top-level O'Reilly USMTS National Tour competitors for ten events for a total of 50 races. Each driver will wear a branded driving suit during their sponsorship period, and their cars will be professionally detailed with vehicle wraps.

    The drivers will also make appearances at local Casey's locations and offer branded general merchandise such as apparel, die-cast cars, autograph cards and coupons.
