Casey's to Sponsor High School Football Prep Pick 'Em Contest

HILLSBORO, Ill. -- Casey's General Stores will sponsor the Hillsboro Journal-News' annual high school football Prep Pick 'Em Contest, the newspaper announced.

Each week, readers can submit their choices for the winners of the five South Central Conference football games, as well as the Nokomis High School Game, according to the report. Readers will also guess the total number of points to be scored in the Nokomis game as a potential tie-breaker.

The person who picks the most winners each week will receive a $10 Casey's gift card. In the event of a tie, officials will draw a winner at random from the qualifying contest participants. Participants will receive a point for each correct pick, and the weekly winners will receive an extra point. At the end of the season, the individual with the most points will receive a grand prize.

Monday and Thursday editions of the Journal-News will contain entry forms, which may be dropped off at the paper's offices in Hillsboro or Litchfield for the duration of the contest, or at drop boxes in Casey's stores in Hillsboro or Litchfield starting on week two of the contest. Readers may also mail their picks to [email protected] or post them on the weekly pick 'em thread at the newspaper's Facebook page.
