Casey's CEO Secures Spot on Iowa Business Council

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Casey's General Stores President and CEO Robert Myers accepted an invitation to join the Iowa Business Council, according to a report by The Gazette. Membership consists of the top executives of 22 of the largest employers within the state, the CEO of Iowa's largest banking association and the three Regent university presidents.

"Bob has an impressive record of success within Casey's, elevating the company to the top of its industry," said Stan Askren, council chairman and chairman, president, and CEO of Muscatine, Iowa-based HNI Corp. "He will serve the council well in the important work that lies ahead for Iowa to maintain a competitive position in the world marketplace."

Askren stated that the council is pleased to have the leader of another Fortune 500 company among its ranks.

Myers has served as vice president of property support and senior vice president and chief operating officer during his 24-year career with Casey's. He became President and CEO in June 2006.

Ankeny, Iowa-based Casey's owns and operates more than 1,700 convenience stores.
