Casey's Acquires Two Minnesota C-stores

HAYFIELD, Minn. -- Casey's General Stores will add two new locations in Hayfield, having purchased the Four Corners and Hayfield Motor Mart convenience stores and gas stations, according to a Post-Bulletin report.

Four Corners and the Motor Mart had the same owners and were sold together. Currently, there are no plans for major staffing changes, and the stores will remain open, including Four Corners' A&W Root Beer eatery, according to the report.

Co-owner Justin Holtan cited their concerns over being two of the few independent c-stores left as one driving factor behind the sale.

"They made us a fair offer," Holtan told the Post-Bulletin. "The timing was right."

Ankeny, Iowa-based Casey's currently operates more than 1,600 locations in the Midwest.
