C-Store Tuna and Egg Salad Recalled

LONGVIEW, Texas -- CFS Operating Ltd. of Longview, Texas, is recalling 4,219 units of Cloud's tuna salad sandwiches and egg salad sandwiches, both on white bread, because of possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, The Associated Press reported.

All sandwiches were sold in c-stores in east Texas, west Louisiana and southwest Arkansas.

Listeria is an organism that can cause serious or fatal infections in children, the elderly or those with weakened immune systems. It can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. No illnesses have been reported, according to CFS Operating.

The tuna salad sandwiches have the date code 62607-72507, and the egg salad sandwiches have the date code 41907-72507. For more information, consumers can call David Floyd at (903) 758-7011.
