BP Teams Up with NY Giants for New Promotion

WARRENVILLE, Ill. -- BP Products North America Inc. teamed up with the New York Giants as part of the company’s ongoing initiative to increase awareness for BP gasoline with Invigorate, a formula the company reports help cars run younger for longer.

"The Giants organization understands the importance of a winning team, and we are proud to be a part of it," said Kevin Phelan, senior vice president of fuels marketing for BP. "As the official fuel provider of the Giants, we will not only celebrate their legacy but we will help millions of fans experience the benefits of BP gasoline with Invigorate."

As part of the program, BP will host alumni player appearances at BP stations throughout the New York metro area, where players will sign autographs and pose for pictures. The company will also serve as the exclusive retail location for the "Top 10 Moments in Giants Stadium History" collectible posters.

Fans can also visit Giants.com to enter the "BP Ultimate Giants Fan" promotion, where many great Giants-related prizes will be awarded, including a VIP experience, complete with game tickets, pre-game on-field credentials, a meet and greet with a Giants alumni player and access to the team’s post-game press conference at the final 2009 home game and the first home game of the 2010 season.

In addition, the program includes television and radio advertising, in-stadium advertising and space on the Giants Internet network where the benefits of BP gasoline with Invigorate will be featured. BP will also have a game-day presence at each of the 10 Giants home games in 2009 with a large, interactive marketing display outside Gate C and roaming marketing elements, which will provide multiple opportunities for Giants fans to win BP gift cards and other football-related items.

"BP is a trusted brand that many of our fans turn to every day to fuel their commutes. BP and the Giants are teaming up to share 33 years of great moments at Giants Stadium with millions of Giants fans through a special series of collectible posters, as a thank you to the greatest fan base in sports," said Michael Stevens, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at the New York Giants.
