BP to Rebrand 246 Getty Oil Locations in New England

WARRENVILLE, Ill. -- BP Products North America will expand its retail brand presence in the New England region as a result of a supply agreement with local fuel distributor Green Valley Oil LLC, the company announced.

Under the agreement, BP will rebrand 246 existing Getty Oil retail locations in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Of those locations, 27 of them will be located in the greater Providence area and will be introduced within the next several months, according to the company.

"BP is proud to be part of the greater Providence community," Corey Correnti, president of BP East & Gulf Coast Fuels Value Chain, said in a statement. "We’re excited to showcase BP’s commitment to making things ‘a little better’ for our customers in each of the neighborhoods we operate by offering clean facilities, friendly service and quality fuels."

BP currently boasts more than 10,000 U.S. stations east of the Rocky Mountains and an additional 2,000 stations on the West Coast under its Arco brand. Overall, BP Products North America provides the U.S. 15 billion gallons of consumer and commercial gasoline a year.

Green Valley Oil executives said they have much to gain from BP’s brand power. "We’re looking forward to being a part of BP’s venture into Providence," Oleg Aliferov, president of Green Valley Oil, said in a statement. "The BP brand has a lot to offer, from strong, exciting marketing programs to supplying the quality fuels that consumers demand for their vehicles."
