LA PALMA, Calif. -- BP Products North America extended its fleet card processing and program management services through FleetCor for its North American fuel card products, including the BP and ARCO proprietary business fleet cards as well as the Universal and Branded Marketer fleet card programs, FleetCor stated.
"We are thrilled to continue our business relationship with BP North America," Ron Clarke, FleetCor chairman and CEO, said in a statement. "Our best read on client satisfaction comes from clients choosing to extend their relationship with us."
The relationship between BP and FleetCor stretches back to 2004. Since then, the companies have launched several fleet card industry products for BP customers and marketers, according to the company.
"Working closely with BP’s branded marketers has afforded FleetCor the opportunity to create new and exciting products that can help grow their businesses," Bill Schmit, president of global fuel services for FleetCor, said in a statement. "With the extension of the relationship with BP, FleetCor remains the largest processor of proprietary fleet card programs for major U.S. oil companies."
This extension follows a similar one earlier this year between Fleetcor and CITGO, which awarded FleetCor the contract for the CITGO-branded fleet card in June, according to the company.
