Biodiesel Distributor to Purchase Houston C-store
HOUSTON -- Zeon Feul, a biodiesel and petroleum diesel blender and distributor, is expanding its distribution through owned and leased facilities, including a c-store/gas station here.
Zeon Fuel, a subsidiary of BlueStar Health Inc., has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the location, which sells fuel through eight pumps under the Valero brand. The site is located on 1.8 acres and features a large c-store and franchise pizza restaurant, a brushless car wash and a truck rental business.
"We are delighted at the prospects of adding this location to our network. This site is located in a fast-growing truck traffic corridor that will experience considerable fuel demand growth," said Richard Greenwood, President and CEO of BlueStar.
The current configuration will be modified to accommodate the growing truck traffic, added Naved Jafry, chairman of BlueStar. "To this end, we are in discussions with a number of trucking companies who would use our station exclusively in this area."
Biodiesel reduces net carbon dioxide emissions by 78 percent compared to petroleum diesel, the company noted.
