Beverage Trade Show Sold

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The American Beverage Association (ABA) today announced the transfer of InterBev, the non-alcoholic beverage industry's premier trade show and conference, to NürnbergMesse North America (NMNA). ABA will remain associated with InterBev through ongoing sponsorship and participation in future shows. NMNA is a U.S. subsidiary of Germany-based NürnbergMesse GmbH, one of the 20 largest trade show companies in the world with a portfolio covering 120 national and international exhibitions and congresses, including Brau Beviale, which is this year's most important capital goods exhibition for the beverage industry worldwide.

"This addition of InterBev to our continuously expanding trade show portfolio will provide plenty of synergies within our existing international trade show portfolio," said Dirk Ebener, NMNA CEO and managing director. "The partnership with the American Beverage Association, and opportunity to work with other industry associations, will allow InterBev to grow and provide an excellent domestic and international industry show. We encourage the members of ABA and the entire industry to continue their support in making the 2012 edition an outstanding industry meeting point."

"We are extremely pleased with the acquisition by NMNA and believe the company will take InterBev to realizing its full potential as a truly all-beverage, global trade show and exhibition," Susan K. Neely, ABA president and CEO, said.

InterBev, a more than 35,000-net-square-foot show with nearly 300 exhibiting companies, is held biennially in even years. Details on the next show, InterBev 2012, will be announced in October.
