FAIRFAX, Va. -- The American Wholesale Marketers Association (AWMA) released the dates and locations for its next three annual conventions and shows, which include a major change.
The 2012 AWMA Show will take place from Feb. 15 to 17 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. The show will then shift to The Peabody Hotel in Orlando, Fla., from March 6 to 8 in 2013. In 2014, the AWMA Show will once again take place at the same Las Vegas location.
2013 will mark the first time in more than a decade that the event is taking place in Orlando. The association said the show will rotate between a southeast location and Las Vegas during future years.
"With a majority of our members headquartered east of the Mississippi, we have considered a Southeast location for the show for many years," said Scott Ramminger, AWMA president and CEO. "And given the strong preference among members to rotate the show between the Southeast and Las Vegas, we were able to find a great fit in Orlando, allowing us to begin this new pattern in 2013."
The AWMA Show serves the specific business needs and interests of convenience store distributors. It comprises more than 18 hours of education sessions and nine hours of exhibition time.
