The Ray Foley Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to two students who are interested in pursuing a career in the convenience-product distribution business. Each scholarship is $5,000, and the money can be applied to tuition, room-and-board, books, and other school-related expenses.
Candidates must be employees of AWMA-member wholesalers or the immediate family members of employees of AWMA-member wholesalers. In addition, candidates must be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university in a business-related major.
The deadline for completing the scholarship application is May 9. Winners will be announced in the summer of 2003. The Ray Foley Memorial Scholarship was established in 1983 in memory of the late National Candy Wholesalers Association executive vice president, Ray Foley.
