ECRM Announces 2016 Foodservice Week Events

ATLANTA — Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM), a leader in business innovation and technology, will host its 2016 Foodservice Week events April 11-15 at the Sheraton Atlanta.

Foodservice Week will feature two events during which restaurants, hotels, colleges/universities, distributors, convenience stores, amusement parks, hospitals, airlines, cruise lines and other mass retailers with foodservice operations will meet with food, beverage, supplies and equipment suppliers.

The week will also offer more than just one-on-one meetings between buyers and suppliers. Educational opportunities will be available, including a university roundtable during which representatives from colleges and universities will hold an open forum to discuss the challenges, opportunities and innovations that are unique to the university setting. The roundtable will be moderated by Gerald White, an industry veteran who brings more than three decades of foodservice and foodservice publishing experience.

In addition to the university roundtable, an educational presentation led by Mark Kelnhofer, president and CEO of Return On Ingredients LLC, will touch on the latest in accurate recipe costing, effective menu engineering, benchmarking and improving the overall profitability of operations as it pertains to the restaurant industry.

And in yet another event program, seasoned ECRM veteran attendees will sit on a panel for an open discussion that will highlight different techniques that Foodservice Week attendees can use to make the most of their meeting time with suppliers.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to go behind the scenes and tour kitchens at a selection of local Atlanta restaurants and hotels. These tours will expose new ideas and concepts that attendees can take back to the office, according to Solon, Ohio-based ECRM.

“This format is an excellent use of productivity in my opinion for both me as a buyer/end user and for the vendors,” Charles Riley of Omni Hotels Corp. stated about the ECRM Foodservice event. “It keeps it practical for me as an operator because in my operation, I frequently have to decline requests for vendor appointments or change the time due to operational issues. At ECRM, you are on a schedule, you are not locked into your operation, so there are no distractions when meeting with potential partners.”

Among confirmed attendees of the 2016 Foodservice Week events thus far are Disney Worldwide Services Inc., Gordon Food Service, Delta Air Lines, Speedway and Bloomin’ Brands.
