TAYLOR, Mich. -- Atlas Oil Co.'s charitable arm, Atlas Cares, will host its third annual Marine Holiday Party Saturday at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Mt. Clemens, Mich.
The holiday-themed party is held each year to honor and recognize the men and women who fight for American's freedom, Atlas stated. The event will be attended by Atlas Oil CEO and Owner Sam Simon, 400 to 500 U.S. Marines, their families and children, as well as Atlas Cares volunteers. There will be live entertainment and games for children.
"Atlas Oil Co. is extremely passionate about giving back to those who are most deserving. This event gives Atlas Oil Co. the chance to interact and give thanks to the brave men and women that unselfishly serve our country," the company stated.
Atlas Cares is an employee-sponsored and -directed charitable program within Atlas Oil that operates due to the generosity of its team members, select vendors and business partners who donate their time, skills and resources to the program.
In other Atlas news, the company announced it is now staffing its logistics area with a live body 24/7. Customers will now have real-time access for updates on load delivery and order placement. In addition, the full-service logistics offering will provide Atlas with the ability to monitor inventories for customers around the clock.

"This is a huge win for our customers and just the start of many innovations for 2010 that will propel us to the forefront as leaders in the industry."
Headquartered in Taylor, Mich., Atlas Oil Co. is a national fuel distributor and fuel supply management provider. The company supplies fuel to nearly 400 gas stations and convenience stores throughout Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
