Atlas Oil Co. Launches Guaranteed Generator Fuel Program

TAYLOR, Mich. -- Atlas Oil Co., based here, unveiled its Generator Assurance Plan, which guarantees customers priority access to fuel and delivery during power outages.

Under the plan, diesel generator users will have a secure and available supply of diesel fuel to keep their backup generators running, Atlas Oil said in a statement.

"During power outages demand for diesel generator fuel spikes, while access to supply shrinks since fueling terminals require electric power to actually pump fuel," the marketer said. "Atlas solves this problem by having emergency generators power its fueling locations as well as by storing large quantities of fuel at its Southeast Michigan locations."

The plan operates as a subscription service, whereby customers can customize the amount of fuel allocated per power outage and the number of service days required. Scheduled sampling and testing of fuel in generator storage tanks is included as a value-added service in the plan.

The Atlas Generator Assurance Plan offers a money-back guarantee to subscribers. "We know how much businesses worry about being able to operate and to serve their customers during outages," said Bob Kenyon, Atlas Oil's vice president of sales and operations. "With the Generator Assurance Plan, our goal is to give customers the confidence and peace of mind that comes from knowing that they'll be available to serve their customers."

Atlas Oil serves businesses, municipalities and governments in 20 states and Ontario, Canada and nearly 400 gasoline service stations throughout Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Headquartered in Taylor, Mich., Atlas Oil maintains operational centers in Indiana, Texas and Ohio and was named a "Top Workplace" for 2008 by the Detroit Free Press
