Atlas Oil Adds to Sales Team Roster

TAYLOR, Mich. -- Atlas Oil Co. is growing its sales team as it turns an eye toward business development and emerging markets. Three of the five representatives are new to the company while two move up the ranks of Atlas.

The five new representatives are McKenzie Egender, regional sales team leader; Mohammed Makky, director of retail commission sales; Robert Torres, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) sales representative; Bryan Watson, director of sales operations; and Jeremy Whiddon, director of emergency fuel solutions.

"Atlas is expanding its footprint throughout the U.S. as well as expanding its product and service offerings," explained Bob Kenyon, executive vice president, sales and business development. "These appointments are key to helping Atlas grow organically within our 23-state reach and expand our foothold in emerging markets."

Egender comes to Atlas from Data Transmission Network/Televent in Vail, Colo. where she was regional sales director. Her responsibilities included building relationships with petroleum suppliers, wholesalers, retail dealers and fleet operators.

Makky joins Atlas with more than 18 years experience in supply chain and wholesale/retail merchandising operations. He previously served as regional operations director for 84 convenience stores at VPS Convenience Store Group.

Torres brings more than 20 years experience to Atlas as he takes responsible for sales of a new product, DEF. For the past five years, he served as senior fuel marketing regional manager at Flying J Inc. in Carson City, Mich.

Watson moves internally to the sales team from talent acquisition team leader. He joined the human resources business unit in 2009 from Aerotek Inc. where he was account manager in the automotive, oil and gas, power engineering and alternative energy industries.

Whiddon moves internally from strategic marketing team leader. He came to Atlas in September 2009 from Crystal Flash where he was new product developer and marketing professional.
