LONDON -- Applegreen, the innovative convenience store chain in Ireland, was awarded the International Convenience Retailer of the Year award during a dinner ceremony here at the Future of Convenience and Petroleum Retailing conference, sponsored by Insight and NACS.
Insight Managing Director Dan Munford announced the awards at a dinner of more than 100 retailers and suppliers from the global convenience retail industry. NACS President and CEO Hank Armour co-presented the awards, sponsored by Baro Lighting and Imperial Tobacco.
7-Eleven of Australia was the runner-up in the competition which included more than 20 innovative convenience store companies from around the world.
