Aloha Petroleum Offers "It's Magic" Program

Using Save-A-$ consumer charge card, customers get 5-cent instant rebate and an additional three cents when bills are paid on time.

HONOLULU -- Aloha Petroleum’s new "It’s Magic" program, launched in early May, gives customers an instant 5-cent per gallon discount on gasoline whenever they use their Save-A-$ Club consumer charge card, the company reported.

And cardholders receive an additional 3-cent per gallon discount when they pay their bill on time and in full, for a total savings of eight cents per gallon.

"That can add up to a nice savings for customers who fill up their tanks every week," said Larry Adams, Aloha Petroleum’s director of sales and marketing. "With gas prices rising and the economy the way it is, we wanted to do something to help our customers keep a little more money in their pockets."

The Save-A-$ Club proprietary fuel charge card program was developed more than 25 years ago to save customers money on fuel purchases. Last year, the company launched Phase I of a newly enhanced card design and offering, and is now introducing Phase II by giving consumer accounts a way to save eight cents per gallon off the pump prices. Additionally, there are no interest fees or annual fees associated with owning the card, the company stated.

"We’ve gotten great feedback from customers who like the instant gratification of the 5-cent per gallon discount," said Adams. "You can actually see the price drop as you’re fueling up. If you blink, you’ll miss it. It really is magic."

To obtain an "It’s Magic" Save-A-$ Club consumer card, drivers can visit any Aloha-branded location and pick up an application or apply online at www.alohagas.com. This offer is only applicable to individual consumer customers, not business, fleet or affinity group discount accounts.
