AAFES Pumping Up Fuel Savings for Military Star Card Users

DALLAS -- With the holiday shopping season just around the corner, Army & Air Force Exchange Service gas stations worldwide are helping to make sure a fill-up doesn't empty cardholders' wallets. In addition to the 5-cents-a-gallon discount Military Star Card holders already receive every time they fuel up, larger discounts are being offered three times before the New Year.

On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, military shoppers using their AAFES Military Star Card can take advantage of 11 cents off per gallon of fuel. From Nov. 30 to Dec. 4, and from Dec. 28 to Jan. 1, the savings rise to 20 cents per gallon.

"These discounts couldn't come at a better time," said AAFES' COO Mike Howard. "Because the Military Star Card is an exchange product, it provides unique opportunities to deliver unprecedented savings opportunities like these to authorized drivers."

AAFES has the dual mission of providing authorized patrons with articles of merchandise and services, and generating non-appropriated fund earnings as a supplemental source of funding for military morale, welfare and recreation programs.
