7-Eleven Offers Relief for Last-Minute Shoppers

DALLAS -- As the days ‘til Christmas tick away, 7-Eleven Inc. can be a beacon in the storm for last-minute shoppers, those shoppers who want to avoid malls, and parents who find themselves in a battery-less emergency.

Since the national convenience store chain is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, shoppers can pick up any last-minute items for anyone on their list. According to the company, this year’s hottest gift items available in 7-Eleven stores include gift cards -- prepaid online and video game cards, Macy’s, Visa, and iTunes, to name a few; electronics -- smartphones, music players and accessories; and Bands on the Run -- silicone wristbands with mylar holograms said to improve balance, strength and flexibility.

"Just like many other retailers, the holidays are a busy time for 7-Eleven," said Jesus Delgado-Jenkins, senior vice president of merchandising. "While we offer several great last-minute gift options, we also provide convenient holiday solutions for consumers who are looking for items such as milk, groceries and batteries."

Customers can also stop in to pick up beverages for their holiday get-togethers, including 7-Eleven’s proprietary wines. And, the company noted, Christmas Day ranks near the top in its Big Bite hot dog sales.
