7-Eleven Florida Stores Drive DNA Energy Drinks

The energy drink maker is partnering with 7-Eleven on action sports marketing programs meant to drive store traffic.

August 27, 2009-BOCA RATON, Fla. – Select 7-Eleven stores located throughout Florida now carry DNA Beverage Corporation's DNA Energy Drink, the action sports-minded beverage.

"By providing extremely competitive pricing and marketing programs such as the 7-Eleven/DNA statewide motocross program geared specifically to drive traffic to the stores, we are able to offer a true quality product at an everyday low price," said Russ Rickon, DNA's national vice president of sales. "In addition, we have tagged 7-Eleven in print and radio advertisements, as well as offering store front sampling.

DNA and 7-Eleven are committed to offering customers "real value" in the current economic climate "by providing quality products at everyday low prices," according to Darren Marks, DNA's president.

The 16-ounce energy drink is available in three flavors—Citrus, Lemon Lime and Citrus Sugar Free—and retails for a suggested retail price of $1.99.

DNA's wholly owned subsidiary, Grass Roots Beverage Co., is the delivering mechanism that gets the DNA product to 3 central distribution centers operated by 7-Eleven; those then deliver the beverage on a twice-weekly basis to the individual select stores.
